As early as 1930, my mother wrote her first novel using the name Mary Westmacott. Only the Bible is known to have outsold her collected sales of roughly 5 billion copies of novels and non-fiction.In the words of Agatha Christie's daughter, Rosalind: "Written under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott, these novels gave my mother the chance to better explore the human psychology she was so intrigued by, freed from the expectations of her mystery fans.
